2019 Hong Kong Policy Address: Highlights on the Housing & Land Supply Initiatives

Hong Kong Chief Executive Ms Carrie Lam delivered her third Policy Address on 16 October. We highlight the key initiatives that are relevant to the city’s property sector such as the relaxing of the loan-to-value (LTV) ratio, launch of subsidised flats for pre-sale, increase of transitional housing projects, invoking of the Lands Resumption Ordinance to resume about 700 hectares of private land, re-planning of the development of the Tuen Mun coastal area and review “Government, Institution or Community” (GIC) sites, etc.
