Mark Wong

Senior Manager, Valuation and Advisory Services

“If we have a new idea, our management will promptly review and support it if it works. This is what I value most about working at JLL.”

Mark was introduced to the sphere of research and valuation at JLL Macau by his university professor upon graduating with an undergraduate degree in finance.

“I had never thought about pursuing a career in the real estate industry, but JLL’s support over the years has been an invaluable source of encouragement and inspiration to shape me from a sheet of white paper to a real estate professional in Macau,” he says.

Mark divides his time at the office between valuing properties and portfolios, and in conducting research and consultancy studies commissioned by clients. With the closer connectivity between the city and the Greater Bay Area, he travels regularly to neighbouring Hong Kong and Zhuhai, often for work covering South China.

Since joining JLL in 2014, Mark’s most memorable assignment to date has been a consultancy project developing an urban renewal blueprint for Macau. “Being involved in a project that was the first of its kind in Macau has given the team and I the best opportunity to help promote the company and give back to society,” he adds.

Obtaining a certification to become a chartered surveyor is an ambition that Mark hopes to achieve at work in the near future, and one that he is confident that the firm and other colleagues will support him on.

In 2018, the Macau office’s team spirit grew even stronger on joining a dragon boating competition for the first time. As a semi-professional dragon boater, Mark led the team to show our discipline, strength and focus at its best.
